The Company is excited for their upcoming season at CPR - Center for Performance Research, with performances on Friday, June 16th and Saturday, June 17th at 8 PM. 

There will be a talkback following Friday night's show. Please join and share your thoughts!

$20.00 General Admission (cash only, at the door)
$10.00 NYU Students with valid student ID (at the door only) 

There will be a raffle for season tickets following the performance on Saturday evening. Raffle tickets are $5.00 and can only be purchased in cash at the door.

In preparation for their upcoming inaugural production season in New York City, the company is busy creating at the historic NYU Tisch. This residency concludes with a invitation only preview performance of the company's newest work Experience:Sanctuary.

Performances will then continue for a full weekend at CPR - The Center for Performance Research with added installation/visual projection.

Class Description: An investigative space encouraging vernacular exploration, structural form/vocabulary, and personal somatic practices, Contemporary Funk, promotes artistic freedom while challenging the bodies understanding of self-trust, and its aptitude to let go. Designed for technically advanced movers, the fast pace class flows quickly through meditative floor work, tectonic shifting of one’s body surfaces, gestural practice/understanding, center work, complex across the floor patterns, and finally into detailed repertory based phrase work that demands both mental and physical professionalism. Influenced by vogueing, popping, and social dances of today, contemporary funk explores the body's relation to space, mental awareness, music, and risk-taking.

Johnnie 'Cruise' Mercer will be performing, The indigo kid., a solo of his own making at the 92nd Street Y on September 30th at 12 PM as a part of Fridays at Noon: Words and Images, curated by Trebien Pollard.

Description: Words and Images explores work by artists Johnnie Cruise Mercer, Aimee Rials, Trebien Pollard and Ricarrdo Valentine who examine identity, challenge perception and meaning.

They draw on contemporary events to animate the tensions and power plays of social representation of a global social order.

Fridays at Noon tickets are $10 online/$15 at the door and should be purchased in advance online or at the 92Y Box Office in the lobby.
